Small Pots For Big Jobs

Saturday, February 24th, from 1 - 4pm

The Studio at Contemporary Craft, Society for Contemporary Craft, Strip District.

We will create all kinds of small pots using the ancient methods of pinch and coil and also slabs. We will create Q-tip and toothpick holders, soap dishes, small cups, spoon rests, and planters. Each participant will create several pieces that will be fired and functional. We will decorate the pieces using a variety of stamps, sprigs, and colored slips!

Wheel Throwing Pottery

I’ll be back teaching Monday nights starting January 2018

Have you ever wanted to try throwing on the potter’s wheel? You will learn how to form a pot you can use and much more. In this 8-week class you will discover and practice the basic steps of centering, opening, pulling and shaping using the potter’s wheel. We will explore decoration and glazing, and all the pieces made in the class will be dinnerware safe. This class may be repeated many times, as it is also ideal for those who want to continue to build on their skills with the assistance of a teacher.

Welcome Wolf's Den Pottery

Each piece is handmade, and our pottery is Microwave and Dishwasher Safe. Amanda Wolf's stylistic creations bring the beauty of nature into your home. The hand-painted surfaces have an expressive quality, so like snowflakes, each one is slightly different.
